Missouri State University was in turmoil this month because African Americans students felt the school did not do enough responding to racism messaging on campus. Now Lewis & Clark College in Portland is doing the same thing over Yik Yak.

For parents who don't know, Yik Yak is a social media app like Twitter that allows people to message anonymously. It was practically banned from Washington State University Pullman after misogynistic and offensive comments were made about sorority members.

Unlike MSU, the Lewis & Clark administrators have responded quickly and compassionately, but it has not stopped protesters saying the college needs more African American faculty.
