Portland Legalizes Weed Home Delivery Services

I seems like something out of the movie "Half Baked", but delivery of marijuana to your home with a legal delivery service is now legal in Portland. Just like pizza, you can call a legal retail courier and have week delivered right to your door according to news reports. The businesses can not have a walk up retail store and can only take orders from the hours of 8 am to 8 pm and can't deliver after 9 pm. It also cost $3,500 for a license and $750 just to apply for one. It could also take months to get approval to that license once you apply.

The city cites that they want to open Portland to "allow market entry for small business entrepreneurs" and think this new law will allow that. Currently neither Washington State nor Colorado have legal delivery services for marijuana like Portland.
