My boyfriend Tony and I had the pleasure of playing our "Acoustic Duet"  in Historic Dayton, Washington over the weekend!

We were scheduled to play two nights at Dayton Wine Works and on Friday, we played to a small but fantastic crowd who listened for three hours in the pouring rain!

I was amazed at the kindness of those  bundled up... their hair drenched wet for 3 hours listening to us play under cover! What a gracious and wonderful group of people!

Thank you to Carl at Dayton Wine Works and all those who sat through our performance in the rain, or listening from the parking lot in their cars with the windows rolled down, honking for applause after each song!

Our hearts were warmed at how kind and appreciative they all were! They made us feel so welcomed!

When it appeared to be even worse weather forecasted for Saturday... we cancelled  that nights show. But, that didn't stop us from enjoying a full weekend of fun in that beautiful town!

I've been to Dayton before but just passed through.  And was happy we got a little time to enjoy such a splendid place. The beautiful town is a quaint and charming display of little shops nestled between rolling green hills and beautiful trees. I understand Dayton is home to the oldest operating courthouse in Washington and the oldest railroad depot in Washington.

They also are the home of great main street shopping, exceptional fine dining, elegant victorian lodging, and a wonderfully restored theater and many of the most beautiful historic homes in the Pacific Northwest.

And its all just a short ride away from great recreational activities, including golf, skiing, hiking, fishing and camping.

We were impressed and amazed at the incredible friendly towns people! After our night of playing,  We joined the fun at "Woody's Bar & Grill" and topped off our night singing Karaoke!

We dined at some wonderful restaurants and stayed at the beautiful Winehard Hotel.

We will return in June during "All Wheels Weekend!" for two nights at Dayton Wine Works and hope the weather this time around will be more suitable!

Thank you Dayton! For a wonderful weekend!
