NOT Thankful: Lazy Kidnappers Who Steal Avocado Plants!

I'm really upset right now at lazy people. Exhibit A: lazy kidnappers. Someone stole something near and dear to the KORD Waking Crew and left a note saying, "Wait for further instructions." Well, that was last June.

Let me give you some back story:

• Last January, Faith Martin on a whim decided to see if an avocado pit would sprout -- you know, like we used to when we were kids.
• One April morning we found someone had thrown it in the garbage! So we saved it!
• By June, it was looking FANTASTIC!

• Then, just days later, we received the following note:

Now it's November! Do we presume our plant is dead? Who steals an avocado plant, leaves a kidnapper's note, then does NOTHING?!
