Need Your Help With My French Press Dilemma! [VIDEO]

For some reason I can barely press down my depressor on my coffee maker. It's always worked in the past then all of a sudden it is super hard to press down.

I am thinking either my grounds are not fine enough or it's the pressure from the chemical reaction and the heat causing too much pressure. Does that make sense? I have no idea. Anyway, check it out and let me know what you think.
