Kennewick Man Arrested for Abusing His 3 Year Old Nephew

20 year old Octavio Flores was arrested on suspicion of second degree child assault after bringing his 3 year old nephew to a hospital with severe damage to his head and face.

Flores was watching his nephew while the boy's parents were out of town. After allegedly assaulting the boy for an unknown reason, Flores brought him to Trios Southridge Hospital, according to reports.

The doctor could tell the boy's injuries did not happen the way Flores claimed and called the police.

Flores was interviewed by police where he admitted to hitting his nephew and was then arrested.

The boy's injuries were significant but non life-threatening and he is expected to fully recover.
