Kennewick native Travis Gutiérrez Senger, had a dream of becoming a writer, but ended up becoming a director. Raised in the Tri-CIties Senger, is bringing his film Desert Cathedral, to Fairchild cinemas Sept 16th-22nd. Set in 1992, the film is inspired by a true story of a damaged real estate developer mysteriously disappears in the Southwest. He left behind a series of VHS tapes to his family and former employer that he tapes while in the desert. The desert setting was near and dear to Sengel who grew up surrounded by desert. Some of the scenes are even filmed near the Tri-Cities in the Moses Lake area.

On the Sept. 16th Senger will be on hand for a Q & A session after the 7pm showing with an after party. He'll have another Q&A session after the Sept. 17th matinee show as well. To get tickets click here, and for more info on the film and Q&A sessions go to desertcathedral.com.
