How do Yellowjackets Make Such Sturdy Nests? [VIDEO]

Yellowjackets...the scurge of the Tri-Cites...under every eave and fence cross-post! This weekend we got out the hose and sprayed down several new nests under our over hang. But even strong blasts of water can't get the little "attacher" that those nests hang from. Quite an amazing construction as nothing beats Mother Nature.
