Project Goodwill, inspired by the hit-TV show "Project Runway," is a Tri-Cities event to help teenagers learn fashion design and educate the public about the clothing services available at Goodwill stores. The fifth annual event is at the Pasco Red Lion April 18 at 6 p.m.Goodwill stores have a variety of vintage clothing. Many are ready to wear as is, but others could be made chic and fashionable with a little creativity and sewing skills. Goodwill promotes "Project Goodwill" to reward high school students for finding creative ways to reinvent the clothing.

To keep things fun, one of the three pieces the students must show is made out of a random material. This year's wild card material is cardboard! (last year was books!)

600-plus people are expected to attend. Admission is free. Everyone who attends can vote for the "People's Choice Award."
