Garth Brooks' record-setting achievements though the years are well-documented, but he's just about to add another one to his list: he's being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

In a statement, he said he was "astounded and honored" to be chosen. He added, "At the same time, I can't help but feel guilty going in when there are so many deserving artists that came before me who are yet to be inducted."

According to the director of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Garth is receiving the honor because he's taken the country music genre to "new venues and new heights, engaging fans with his unparalleled mix of showmanship, theatricality and musical talent, all while never losing sight of country music's roots."

The induction ceremonies for all three will take place later this year in Nashville.
