Fish for Free This Weekend in Washington State
Free Fishing Weekend is scheduled for June 10th and 11th in Washington. No fishing licenses will be required for people to fish across the state on these two days.
Anglers won’t be required to pay fees normally required for catching salmon and steelhead trout in the Columbia River.
Two-pole fishing will also be free at sites that allow it, which include most lakes, ponds and reservoirs in the state.
All other rules will still apply such as seasons, area and lure or bait restrictions, size limits and catch limits.
Catch Record Cards are required to fish for salmon, sturgeon, steelhead and halibut. The first card is free.
