We've all heard the term 'The Dog Days of Summer!' and we usually think that time period falls between the hottest part of the summer. Which is late July through middle of August I'd say...

But, do we know WHY it's called the Dog Days of Summer? Apparently it has to do with two things.

1. When the weather is so hot and sultry that all you want to do is laze around and do nothing! (Preferably someplace where there is air conditioning).

2. Has something to do with the constellations that are the most significant during these months.

Well, it's not Late July or August and we are expecting triple digits starting Monday and lasting all week! So find a way to stay cool, and make sure your pets can stay out of the heat as well! Now is NOT a good time to take a pet in the car with you at all!
