In the midst of being on trial for falsifying claims that her husband had raped and beaten her, a Kennewick woman is in even hotter water. After she allegedly went into hiding, the woman left behind seven pets. Six of the pets were locked inside, while neighbors took care of the dog left outside.

After the long and cold winter, the six pets left inside are now dead.

With Animal Control calling it the "worst residence" they had ever been to, the woman has pleaded not guilty to three first-degree animal cruelty charges. The animal control could barely see the floor as it was covered in trash, clothes, box springs, fecal matter and more.

Her trial for the animal cruelty charges will be on November 13, the same day she has to stand before a jury for her charge of malicious prosecution - a felony.
