Howard Amon Park's wading pool is going to the dogs next month. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 7 and 8 dogs are welcome in the pool for a $5 donation to the Tri-City Dog Park Society.
This is the fifth year of this popular event where you and your dog can splash, fetch balls, shake dry and wade in the pool with other dogs.
Play areas will be set up to let the dogs run as much as they want and a gift table, silent auction and raffle will be available for the moms and dads.
Dogs must be spayed or neutered and vaccinated to participate. Owners must be with their dogs at all times.
For their own health and safety, no dogs under 5 months old and no children under 10 years old.
The money benefits the dog park society in promoting, establishing and maintaining beloved off-leash parks in our community, like the one at Badger Mountain Community Park in Richland.
