I found a new park this week. It’s in the south west corner of OLD Richland west of Fred Myer. It had a very nice climbing toy my kids were big fans of.
Right by the pump house along the Richland dike – just up from the boat ramp – there’s a red bench with a little pipe next to it. The plaque reads, “The Bill & Captain Bench.” My uncle lives near it and thinks he knows the story. I’m interested in seeing if anyone can confirm his story.

What really helped cool us off was the new Coca Cola Freestyle machine offering over 100 flavor combinations. Starting May 16 all Tri-Cities Wendy's locations will feature the machines.
Silverwood Theme Park is open now on weekends (and every day starting May 27)! We’re giving away four tickets and a $50 gas card to get you there EVERY MONTH through September!
102.7 KORD’s Facebook page has some of the best “friends” a radio station could ever ask for!
Nala is a one-year-old medium-hair mix. You can adopt her at the Benton Franklin Humane Society.
Each month we pick a random submission to our veterans photo gallery to win $20 to Hot Wingz. The March winner is Storm Bray.
I ran into this dog at a Richland park and had to share his photo. His name is Gus and he doesn't let a disability stop him. Gus was running and jumping all over -- mostly playing with children. His owner said he LOVES children and the kids loved him back! He brought smiles to EVERYONE!
Each Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. you can brunch at Bonefish Grill in Kennewick.
