Burger King With an Epic Fast Food Troll Against McDonalds

Burger King is running a promotion through this Wednesday where you can get a Whopper for just ONE CENT. The only catch is you have to order it on their app while you're AT McDonalds, or within 600 feet of the golden arches if you're McNuggets are too chicken to go in.

So here's the "Whopper Detour" deal:

Download the Burger King app, then go within 600 feet of a McDonald's and order a Whopper on the app.  And then it'll give you directions to the nearest BK where you can pick it up. The offer is good now through next Wednesday.

The Whopper Detour works by "geofencing" McDonald’s locations across the country. If a guest is inside one of these geofenced areas and has the new BK App on their device, the app will unlock the flame-broiled-beauty-of-a-sandwich-for-a-penny promotion. Once the order is placed, the user will be “detoured” away from McDonald’s, as the app navigates them to the nearest Burger King restaurant for pick up.
