Blake Shelton’s Father Passes

According to Blake Shelton's publicist Dick Shelton Blake's father passed away on Tuesday night.

Mr Shelton had been in declining health over the past year and was most recently in the hospital for a bout of pneumonia. He was surrounded by his family when he passed on Tuesday night.

In a statement Blake Shelton said ""I appreciate your understanding during this difficult time and thank you for all your prayers. Your support means the world to me. I love you guys,"

His shows scheduled for this weekend in South Dakota & Montana will be rescheduled. Also Miranda Lambert Blake's wife cancelled some shows as well so that she could be with her husband and family.

Both Miranda's & Blake's Twitter pages have been very quiet so there is no new update from either country stars.
