Sabrina the Teenage Witch was a pretty tame show back in the day. Starring Melissa Joan Hart, the show was about a teenage girl who finds out she is witch and has magical powers! She gets in to all kinds trouble learning to control her powers, and has to keep them a secret from her friends and boyfriend. The show was based on an old Archie comic, and really didn't follow it very much, but it was a fun show to watch.

Nextflix just released a new version that's slightly more true to the comics, but takes a darker turn. In the same style of the hit show Riverdale, the new show The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, there is a LOT of creepiness going on. Though it's a show about teens, it's pretty gruesome and dark. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but if you were thinking it was going to be like the old Sabrina show, you are dead wrong.

The witches torture, murder, mild nudity, a LOT of blood, and the show in general is pretty creepy. While the old Sabrina was appropriate for a younger audience, this one (in my opinion) is definitely for teens and older. So, if you thought about parking your 10 year old on front of the TV for a fun binge, maybe watch it first to make sure you think it's appropriate. The show is well done, and freaky fun, but maybe not for the little ones.
