It's nice to receive a genuine compliment from someone right? We women are pretty good at complimenting each other. But what about the men...

Men don't often receive the kind of feel good compliments from other guys, so it's sometimes up to us ladies to appreciate the qualities that we admire or find worthy of complimenting! And let them know! (Remember guys mothers used to fill this role)

The difficult thing, is how to pay someone that compliment without having them think your 'hitting on him!' Right?

Well, I've discovered that when you give a heart felt genuine compliment about something you've noticed on a 'holistic level' meaning not necessarily pointing out their 'sexy eyes' or their chiseled Abs,  but something like:

"I admire the way you are able to come up with that conclusion in such a mindful way!' or...

'I can see you are really good at being consistent with your workout routine and it shows!'

Or' I really love it that you have such a great sense of humor, it makes my workday so much nicer!'

Or 'Thank you for making it so comfortable to be around you...I like that!'

And,I know men really do love to hear compliments about the way they look, but you do have to be careful with that one...so that it's not taken out of context.

Maybe "You are such a great dresser! That shirt is lovely on you'  or something...Anyway, I saw on reddit.com these comments when asked about compliments:

"when I hear that I am funny, witty, or charming it makes me feel nice."

"I know. My parents love me very much and I am so, so grateful for it. But it would be nice for someone to say "nice shirt" or something once in a while."

I think anytime something positive makes an impression on you about someone, you should immediately share that gift back to them! It's nice to be surrounded with wonderful people in the world, and just as nice to be appreciated for the gifts you bring to the table! So compliment away! Just make sure it's genuine!

And, by the way the fact that you are reading this, tells me that you care about what I say and I really appreciate that about you!  THANK YOU! (That was my compliment to you if you didn't catch it. lol)
