We had the pleasure of having Captain Scott Smiley and his amazing wife Tiffany in studio with us this morning.
We were thrilled to hear of the miraculous story of Scott's challenges and recovery after losing his sight from a suicide car bomb in Iraq.
His story is truly heart warming and inspirational! His new book "Hope Unseen" is available to purchase at Barnes and Noble at Columbia Center in Kennewick. A book signing will take place Thursday Sept 1st. at 6pm.
Fans still have a little over a month to wait until the ‘American Idol’ winner graces store shelves with his debut album, ‘Clear as Day.’ But in the meantime, he’s on the road with this year’s ‘AI’ tour — and sharing a few tidbits about what we can expect to hear from the finished product.

They’re tourmates and ‘American Idol’ alums — but are Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina also something more? It’s a question they’ve been asked repeatedly lately, and one they’ve done a great job of refusing to answer
Did you know...that years ago Dolly Parton came home to find a baby in a box on her doorstep?! Pretty weird huh?
It took place early in career, as “Jolene” was gaining steam. “We came home one day and there was a baby in a box at our gate with a note in it. The note said, ‘My name is Jolene, my momma has left me here and she wants you to have me.’ Of course, we all freaked out!”
July 23rd marked the day in history when we could see the comet "Hale-Bopp" with the naked eye!
I remember vividly driving and looking up in the night sky July 23rd in 1997, and just being amazed that we could see it so vividly. I thought it was spectacular!
I looked it up on Wikipedia and found this information, in case you are interested.
