The crown jewel of women's aviation events, the Air Race Classic (ARC) is set to launch from the Tri-Cities Regional Airport on June 18th.   The ARC is an all-women, cross-country air race that will see more than 100 pilots race from Pasco to Fayetteville, Arkansas, a distance of nearly 2500 miles over a period of four days.The last time the ARC came to Pasco was in 1984 as part of the Pasco Centennial celebration.  Nearly 50 planes will begin arriving in the Tri-Cities on June 12th.  Racers will depart the at 8:00 AM on the 18th.  Over the next four days they will cross eight more states before landing in Arkansas.  For more information contact Marjy Legget at marjyl@charter.net or check out the ARC website.
