For the thousands of us that spend immense amounts of time hiking, jogging or mountain biking on Badger Mountain, adding another nearly 200 acres to the trails with access to Candy Mountain is nothing short of awe inspiring!

I can't speak for everyone, but in my mind, Badger Mountain provides more than just a great place to exercise! I think most could agree that our love for the mountain spans far greater than the beautifully groomed trails and scenic Views!

It provides us a place to become better grounded. To calm our nerves or ease our stress from a busy work day, or a troubled relationship!

We might choose to escape  a busy social life, or feel the need to relish a star filled night sky, visible only from It's perspective!

And of course we want to  feed our blood with oxygen from the strenuous climb or the invigorating hike or run!

I'm positive many tears have been shed on Badger Mountain and incredible joy has been felt! I know this!  Because that is what  Badger Mountain has given' me!

No doubt passion has been discovered on this mountain! Decisions have been made, Peace has been found  and, lessons have been learned. And, I believe anyone who consistently spends time with this mountain will be better for it!

There is something incredibly special about Badger Mountain! It's been a place where I have felt the most incredible joy imaginable (when I thought maybe I could feel none) And, where I've shed years of pain in the form of sweat, as I heaved my mountain bike up the mountain, or ran it in the blinding wind rain or snow!

To each of us it's different. But, to all of us,  it gives something unique and special just for us!

The popularity of the mountain is obvious as the overflowing access lots are filled with people almost 24/7!

And now, we shall have nearly 200 more acres to discover!

Friends of Badger Mountain along with many volunteers and other organizations have made Badger Mountain what it is today for all of us to share, admire and respect. And now we will also have Candy Mountain!

Volunteers are always welcome and donations are as well. Contact:
