A Brief History of (Almost) All the Men Taylor Swift Has Dated + The Resulting Songs

getty kevin winter

What the title of the song will be about Harry Styles now that Taylor has moved on to her next lyric session is yet to be seen. But here’s what we know so far about our favorite busy girl:

The song Tim McGraw was inspired by an ex-boyfriend named Brandon Borello. Their relationship ended because he had to go to college. Naturally he had no idea she was about to become a millionaire.

Picture to Burn was written about an ex-boyfriend, whom she calls a redneck, and says he never let her drive his pick-up truck. You know, so there’s that.

Teardrops on My Guitar was written about a boy she liked, whom she never actually dated, which is hard to believe these days.

Should’ve Said No was about an ex-boyfriend that cheated on her, but she was probably gonna break up with him in minutes anyway (just my guess).

Jon Jonas got in on the dating game and Taylor wrote Forever & Always for him. She also wrote “Last Kiss” about him and “Better than Revenge” is about his ex-girlfriend, Camila Belle — cat fight!

The song, Back to December is suspected to be about Taylor Lautner — wolf fight!

Jake Gyllenhaal gets the songs: We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, State of Grace, All Too Well, Girl at Home and The Moment I Knew. That’s the rumor, anyway.

The songs Dear John and I Knew You Were Trouble are rumored to be about her ex-boyfriend John Mayer, whom she had a fling with at one time. Well, these are all flings, I guess.

Conor Kennedy…must be a lyric in progress.

Whew!  I’m exhausted.
