A teen running from the cops in a 110+ Mph car chase crashed through a guard rail, his car exploded, and then he lead police on a foot chase while trying to attack them with a machete.

It honestly sounds like an ending scene from an action movie, but it really happened near La Grande, Oregon this last Wednesday.

Oregon State Troopers started the car chase 2 miles west of La Grande on Interstate 84 after spotting someone driving recklessly in a green 1997 Toyota Camry.

The Camry was driven by a 17 year old teen from Boise, Id. The teen refused to stop and sped away at over 110 mph before police broke off the chase because of the risk to the public.

A different Oregon Trooper spotted the Camry again at mile post 258 going westbound on Interstate 84 and continued the chase.

The Camry eventually lost control, ran off the road, and crashed through the guard rail. The car then caught on fire after it came to rest and the teen tried to run away.

He armed himself with a machete and swung it at troopers. The troopers were able to surround the suspect and talk him into dropping the weapon.

He was arrested on charges of reckless driving, felony elude, and misdemeanor elude, according to news reports.

The green Toyota Camry completely went up in flames after the crash, and the right lane was closed for two hours while police investigated the crash scene.
